#ResetTheClock: NY Assemblywoman Arrested After Son Alleges She Beat Him With A Broom

Well, that didn't take long. Again. NY Assemblywoman Diana Richardson (D-Brooklyn) was arrested over the weekend on charges of child assault after her 13-year old son reported to police that he had been struck with a broom.

According to the New York Daily News:
Diana Richardson, 33, was taken into custody at her President St. apartment shortly after midnight on Saturday after her son walked into the 71st Precinct stationhouse in Crown Heights with allegations of child abuse around 7 p.m. the night before, police said.
The boy, whose name the Daily News is withholding, told cops that his mother hit him on his left arm with a broomstick as discipline over his grades, police said. He was taken to a local hospital for an abrasion to his arm, according the criminal complaint.
Diana Richardson represents the 43rd Assembly District in Brooklyn, which includes the neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Wingate and East Flatbush.

Behind Enemy Lines Radio is committed to reporting on all arrests of New York politicians for any and all reasons, including criminal behavior and political corruption. This latest reset comes a mere 16 days since the last reset where Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano was arrested along with his wife, Linda, and Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto in an alleged bribery and kickback scheme.
